Luna Llena Hotel

Luna Llena, which literally means full moon, is an unusual hotel nestled on the hill area just above the buzzing bohemian artist town Montezuma. Hemmed by a rainforest housing an abundance of wildlife, the hotel is a mere 200 meters from the beaches of Playa Montezuma, Costa Rica. Visitors wake up to the sounds of the howler monkeys and chirping birds moving through the canopies surrounding the property. A majority of the rooms here feature an ocean view, with a few directly overlooking the hypnotically splashing waves. There are several lush gardens and scenic paths throughout the hotel premises. The best part about staying here is the fresh, scented air emitted by the Ylang-Ylang flowering trees at dusk. Luna Llena has 10 private rooms with shared bathrooms, 4 private rooms with private bathrooms and a style dorm room for budget travelers and backpackers. For those traveling in a large group, they can accommodate up to five persons in one of their private rooms, and the property also offers several options for groups of three or four persons, all at pocket friendly rates. Other than an ocean view offered by most rooms, every room here has a sitting area/balcony in front with beautiful views of the property’s spectacular surroundings. You can watch the famed Costa Rican sunset while sipping your evening tea or enjoy sights of the howler monkeys swaying from the braches of trees in the premises.

They have five full bathrooms throughout the hotel with two hot showers and three cold showers. Each guest is offered a clean towel. Their large living room/chill-out lounge has comfortable seating, cable TV, a DVD player with movies to watch, a radio to listen to, and howler monkeys waiting to the greet the guests every morning. Luna Llena offers complementary Wifi to all their guests.
